Construction:

Optical Fibers

The cable can be supplied with SMF 9/125 μm or50 μm and 62.5 μm multimode fibers. For fiber

properties, see the appropriate FiberSpecification. The fibers are individually color-coded for easy

identification.

Cable Core

The cable core consists of a number of 900 μmtight buffered fibers, surrounded by a heavy layer of

aramid yarns.

Sheath

The cable sheath consists of a blackpolyurethane sheath. The polyurethane sheath has extremely good

tear resistance and very good low-temperatureflexibility. It has excellent resistance to microorganisms

and towards hydrolysis.
