This specification covers optical cables with 2 or 4 fibers. LDD tactical cable is equipped with two
jackets for excellent protection of tight buffered fibers against rodents. Both jackets are made of
polyurethane. The cable is suitable for indoor and outdoor use. The cable has low abrasion and great
cut resistance and improved rodents protection.
Construction:
Outer Jacket
Black polyurethane, wall thickness approximately 1.3 mm. Ripcord included. Overall diameter – 9.4 mm.
Armor
Water-blocking E-glass yarns, wrapped in one layer, serves as non-metallic rodent protection.
Inner Jacket
Black polyurethane (TPE-U), wall thickness is approximately 1.2 mm. Inner jacket diameter is 5.5 mm.
Strength member
Peripheral strength member is made from Aramid yarn, central strength member is from FRP material.
Optical Fibers
Secondary tight buffered fibers can be supplied with single mode 9/125 μm (G.652D, G.657A) or
multimode (OM1 or OM2) fiber types.
The fibers are individually color-coded for easy identification. Colors: red, green, blue and yellow.
