It is the multipair for the ambitious studio professional who dislikes to compromise on linearity and shielding. For the perfect sound the two opposite wires (“crossover“) are paired. That way we achieve an incredibly low capacitive value of approx. 37 pF wire/wire, and thus an almost loss-free transmission even with excess distances. When connected crosswise the SC-Pegasus CMCK is even digital-capable (AES/EBU 110 Ω)!
