When C13 outlet is mounted in a power strip or enclosure take care not to damage the outlet when removing the plug. To remove Secure Sleeve that remains in outlet after cord extraction pull Secure Sleeve tabs that extend from outlet. If unable to extract with tabs then turn off power source and use Non-conductive tool to extract.

This model is black and has tabs to ease extraction. The part installs over the straight side of the C14 plug. To properly install the Secure Sleeve slide over plug shroud and press firmly onto plug. Fully insert cord to avoid arcing between conductors. Repeated insertions and extractions may deteriorate the force pounds required to extract a C14 Plug.
